The modem (dial-up) service is currently down. Staff are assessing the problem.
Both proxy servers were down from 1:55 to 2:05. The service is designed to pass traffic directly if this happens and the intention is for this type of event to be non-disruptive. This would affect web traffic if it were noticeable.
Power has been restored and the following building have their network services back:
Romainia Building.
DPS East
Moss Children's Center
East Graduate Village Apartments
However, one switch at the East Graduate Village Apartments did not recover from the
power outage. It will be replaced first thing tomorrow morning.
A power outage in the south east quadrant of campus has brought down network infrastructure. The following networks have been affected.

Graduate Housing
The network in these areas will be down until power can be restored.
City of Eugene staff report that planned electrical work is currently underway at the Atrium Building. The power is out and no one can go in the building. We do not know how long the work will take.
Staff were alerted to a loss of network connectivity starting at 7:25am on 1/17/15 for any UO employees in the Atrium Building. Staff are investigating the problem.

A failure occurred on one of the core campus routers at 9:16 AM on 1/16/15. Network traffic automatically diverted to a different router. Services do not appear to be affected at this time. Staff are working to fully restore network services.
Between 7:00pm and 8:45pm, very heavy network traffic caused periodic service interruptions. Services like the UO home page, Blackboard, DuckWeb, email, and some key websites, including the Admissions website, were unavailable for periods of time.
