Severe core network issues are impacting multiple services across campus, including VoIP phone service, wireless, web access (Banner, etc.), and VPN. Staff are working on the issue.
There were reports of slow and inconsistent wired network connectivity at the College of Education this morning. This issue was resolved at 9:25 AM.
We are still receiving reports of call quality degradation on calls from, to, or between campus phones that use voice over IP (VoIP) technology. NTS continues to investigate this issue and work toward restoring service.

The RT (https://ithelp.uoregon.edu) service degradation has been resolved.
RT (https://ithelp.uoregon.edu) is failing to generate tickets from emails. Staff are working to restore service.
A network switch serving Lokey Laboratories as failed. NTS is in the process of replacing the failed switch.

UPDATE:
Performing the supervisor failover appears to have remediated the issue. NTS will continue to monitor the situation and update this notification as more information becomes available. If you continue to experiences network related issues, please contact the tech desk.

The dial-up internet service has been discontinued as of February 12, 2015. The dial-up service has been unavailable since the morning of February 12 due to an equipment failure, and will not be restored.
