bookstore-bb which services both wired and wireless network went down at 6:27 AM. NTS is investigating the cause of the outage.
The outage was power related. After power wes restored the bookstore-bb came back up and all the network services have been restored.
NTS has been alerted that the Clinical Service Building network backbone lost power, or rebooted. The backbone has recovered and all networks are operating normally.
On Tuesday, October 14, there will be a multi-hour service interruption for Proofpoint spam-filtering software so that Information Services staff can upgrade the software to the current version. During the upgrade, which is expected to take four hours, users will not be able to use the Proofpoint web interface (https://proofpoint.uoregon.edu) to access user preferences and quarantined messages. Mail flow, however, will not be affected. Staff are planning to begin this work after another project (which begins at 4am) has been completed.
NTS has been alerted that a edge switch in the Streisinger building has lost power. Staff were mobilized, and the switch is back up and operating.
At 11:50 AM this morning, the Rainier Building and surrounding areas lost power. This resulted in a loss of networking for in some locations. The power outage was short lived, and all networks are back up and operating.
The issue with rhn.uoregon.edu has been resolved and service has been restored.
