We had a brief power outage in 1715 Franklin. The outage was caused by construction. A network services seem to be restored at this time

DESCRIPTION: We experienced a degradation in campus wireless services
for an as of yet undetermined reason. The issue has resolved and we are
still actively pursuing the original cause. Wireless users were able to
connect during this outage but were either unable to access external
sites or experience extremely slow speeds.

RT is now creating tickets from incoming email messages. RT has now created tickets for back-logged email messages.
Bomgar was restored at 9:36am
Users report that RT, the ticket system, is not creating tickets based on customer emails it receives. Staff are working to resolve the issue.
Staff are reporting that login attempts to Bomgar, the remote support tool, are failing. We are working to restore the service.
NERO has been notified of planned fiber maintenance between the WIX and Oregon Hall Data Centers in Eugene. Maintenance will occur on Monday, May 18, between 5am and 6am.
NERO does not expect any service interruptions, but the risk is elevated. If you have any questions and/or concerns, please contact the NERO NOC (noc@nero.net; 541.346.6376). NERO, the Network for Education and Research in Oregon (http://www.nero.net), is a statewide network that provides service to higher education institutions, K-12, local and state government, municipalities, and non-profit groups.
Staff determined that the authentication outage affecting Bomgar also affected other third-party services whose user authentication relies on Active Directory (AD). That AD service degradation was resolved around 10:30am, restoring access to Bomgar and other services.
We are receiving reports that users are unable to log in to Bomgar (https://rs.uoregon.edu). Staff are working on the issue.
A switch in the basement of the EMU failed to boot after a scheduled morning power outage. A new switch is being configured for replacement at this time.
