The switch that was down in Willamette Hall has been replaced and network services have been restored.
A network switch is down in Willamette. Staff are working on replacing it.
Some Mac users running Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) are reporting difficulty opening Microsoft Office documents directly from files.uoregon.edu. When the user attempts to open a file, they get the following error message: "Excel could not open because some content is unreadable. Do you want to open and repair this workbook?" This bug is being tracked by NetApp, the vendor that provides storage for files.uoregon.edu. Two workarounds exist: 1) Make a local copy of the file, then open the local copy; or 2) When connecting to files.uoregon.edu using "Connect to Server", use cifs://files.uoregon.edu instead of smb://files.uoregon.edu.
Klamath - wired and wireless network back in service
Staff are working to restore network service to Klamath Hall. Wilłamette Hall also experienced a network outage from 3:06pm to 3:35pm.
This issue has been resolved.
We received several reports of problems signing in to UO websites. Staff resolved the issue by 11:31AM today.
Chris W. reports that he can not access network sites beyond the Lillis network. This is a continuation of the issue in RT Ticket#794759.
All network services have been restored following the EWEB power issues.
