Power outage has impacted services

At approximately 1:15 AM this morning the Computing Center experienced a severe power event. This impacted a large number of systems, services and other critical operations based inside the building. Information Services staff are working on the issue. More information will be posted here as it becomes available.

Web access to voicemail settings, via voiceweb.uoregon.edu, is back in service.

Web access to voicemail via the voiceweb.uoregon.edu page is currently unavailable. It will be returned to service as soon as possible. All other access to voicemail (via phone and email) are working.

We continue to work through some technical problems with the voicemail system. Voicemail services will experience some brief outages today at times.

Blackboard Navigation Issue

There is an issue with the notification panel in Blackboard. The UO Libraries is working to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. In the meantime, a workaround can be found at http://library.uoregon.edu/tools/blogs/cet/?p=1603.

A wide range of services are experiencing a degradation

An issue with a key storage system may be causing a service degradation on the following services:

  • Webmail (webmail.uoregon.edu)
  • IMAP/POP e-mail
  • UO Docs
  • McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)
  • campus HVAC controls
  • Bomgar
  • about 100 virtual machines (VMs)
Library website redesign complete

The UO Libraries (http://library.uoregon.edu) website redesign was completed successfully at approximately 8:30pm on Sunday, 8/18/13.

The library website redesign incorporates high-priority findings from 2012 usability tests. Improvements include
- Clearer terminology and priority of display for high-demand information and navigation features
- Audience tabs with targeted navigation and features for undergraduates, graduate students, faculty/staff, and general public
- Improved visibility for instructional technology services
- Redesigned catalog search with accordion tabs for General Search, Articles, Books, and Media

Storage upgrade complete

The storage upgrade that Information Services started at 8am this morning was completed successfully by 9:15am.
