This work on Streisinger Hall's network connection to campus has been completed successfully.
Between 5am and 7am on 11/7, Streisinger Hall will experience a 15 to 20 minute network outage. This outage is required for maintenance on the network equipment that connects the building to campus.
The performance issues with the storage system have been resolved. Staff will continue monitoring for issues.
One of the Information Services storage systems, which is a component of our VM services and several other services, is running slowly. Staff are working on the issue.
Several CenturyLink customers have reported that UO websites are slow or unreachable when using that service. If you encounter this issue, please contact CenturyLink for assistance.
On Thursday, Oct. 3 between 9pm and 9:30pm, we will disable IPv6 on the campus WiFi network to work around an issue that may contribute to WiFi instability. Only people using IPv6 will be affected. No action is necessary: most computers and devices will automatically use IPv4.
OIMB was without its network connection to the University of Oregon between 7:16am and 10:36am this morning.
Nearly all services provided to campus by Information Services have been restored.
