The work planned for Monday, 12-May-2014, has been indefinitely postponed.

To accommodate construction in the EMU, Campus Cash will be down intermittently between 4am and 7am on Monday, 12-March-2014.

Early on Saturday, 20-April-2014, between midnight and 2am, we will be doing work on a key network component. No outages are expected, however there may be brief moments of network instability during this time.

Pharos (the software used to charge for printing) and Campus Cash will be available intermittently on Thursday, 8-May-2014, between 8:45am and 10am PDT to accommodate EMU building construction.

Between 12:00pm (noon) on Thursday, April 10 and 11:59pm on Sunday, April 13, you may experience short service outages due to updates that must be installed. Most of this work will not cause outages. However, short service outages are possible.

Examples of a “technology service” are webmail and Blackboard.

Information Services is working to mitigate an Internet-wide security problem announced late on Monday, April 7. Due to the large number of services we are working with, we cannot at this time list all affected services.

You may receive more specific information about when a specific service will be restarted. That information supersedes this message.

For those of you who are technical, we are remediating the Heartbleed OpenSSL vulnerability. With certificate providers very busy, we will need to restart services as replacement certificates become available over the next four days.

The Network and Telecomm Services group are doing work in the following areas early on Thursday, April 10:

• Gerlinger Hall and Gerlinger Annex: network will be unstable between 5am and 7am
• Portland's White Stag Building: work with no expected user impact between 5am and 6am

RT was offline between 2:45pm and 3:00pm today (7-March-2014).

Logins to RT are available again, which means that RT is fully available.
