Update on the partial outage affecting logins to UO Microsoft services and the UO Service Portal:

  • About 6,300 accounts are affected.
  • All affected accounts should now be able to access Microsoft services, such as UOmail, Teams, and others.
    • Teams calling dial pads are missing for some people. UO staff are working to identify those accounts and restore service.
    • Some people are reporting that they've lost access to certain Teams channels. UO staff are investigating.
    • Other Microsoft services may simply take some time to fully restore (15 minutes or longer).
  • Affected accounts were also unable to receive email from external senders since the problem began. UO staff have initiated a process to restore their mail flow.
  • Affected users are still unable to log in to the UO Service Portal. To reach tech support, please contact the Technology Service Desk by phone (541-346-4357) or live chat. Please note that support volumes are currently high.
  • This outage was inadvertently caused by yesterday's (June 5) vendor maintenance on our Duck ID system.

The Service Portal will be unavailable from Friday, May 12 at 9pm to 1am on Saturday, May 13 while the vendor upgrades the Service Portal. Email replies to UO Service Portal tickets are working again as of 8:30am today (Friday, February 17). Replies that had been backlogged have now been processed. New email replies are also being handled like usual.

Email replies to UO Service Portal tickets currently aren't posting on the tickets themselves. The problem started around 10:45am today (Thursday, February 16). UO staff are working on the issue.
