  • Wi-Fi service degradation (Oct. 15): We're getting reports of problems with Wi-Fi in several buildings on the Eugene campus. UO staff are working on the issue.
  • Duck ID account partial outage (Oct. 11-14): Most affected users should now be able to access most UO services. UOmail mailboxes have been restored for most affected users. Unfortunately, there’s no way to recover incoming email that bounced between Friday night (Oct. 10) and Monday (Oct. 13). People may be prompted to register for Duo again. Duck ID account partial outage: Information Services made substantial progress yesterday (Monday, Oct. 13) to restore access and services for affected accounts. Here's the current status:

  • Staff believe most affected users can now access email, Wi-Fi, Microsoft 365 services, Adobe Creative Cloud (where applicable), and most other services that use Shibboleth single sign-on (Canvas, Zoom, Concur, etc.) or the UO Microsoft login (VPN, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • UOmail mailboxes have been restored for most affected users. Unfortunately, there’s no way to recover incoming email that bounced between Friday night and Monday.
  • Affected users should now be able to log in to the UO Service Portal again, as of 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Staff continue to assess remaining impacts and make plans for next steps.

  • Affected users may still lack access to other services, such as Dropbox (where applicable).
