Info
  • VPN: An unplanned problem with UO's VPN services should be resolved as of about 11:25 a.m. today (Monday, November 18). People can now use VPN again. Previously, people were receiving error messages about an "untrusted server" or "service provider in your current location is restricting access to the Internet." UO staff will continue monitoring the service.
  • Pages.uoregon.edu and shell server: UO staff are planning to contact about 30 users of UO Pages (pages.uoregon.edu/<YourDuckID>) or the UO shell server who had files added or modified in their accounts on Tuesday, November 12 — specifically, in the 6:04 a.m.–12:25 p.m. window. We will provide guidance about how to access those files.

Partial Teams Calling Degradation: Earlier this morning, Teams Call Queues were unavailable. Callers were receiving a fast busy signal and unable to reach queues. Microsoft has re-routed impacted Teams Call Queue traffic to restore service while they work on the issue, which has resulted in queues being available for calls again. Information Service staff continue to monitor.

Outlook Performance Issues: Earlier this morning, Microsoft Outlook was experiencing performance issues. Users may have found their Outlook clients to run slow or crash repeatedly. As of 11:45am, Microsoft has applied a configuration update to resolve this issue, but impacted users may still need to take an extra step to fix their experience:

  • Outlook client and app users should restart their client or app to apply changes. Outlook desktop client users may need to perform this action twice due to caching issues.
  • Outlook on the web users should refresh their sessions. If that does not mitigate the issue, users are encouraged to clear their browser cache and refresh their Outlook on the web session.
