Comment: Some campus email delivery is slow today. Specifically, emails sent between Exchange and Webmail accounts, and to and from non-UO addresses, are being delivered more slowly than usual. Staff are working to resolve the issue.

Comment: If you received a "user unknown" bounce notification from a UO email address this morning (Tuesday, Sept. 3, between ~8am and 11:40am), please resend that message now. For email messages sent during that window that DIDN'T bounce, mail delivery is significantly delayed but should be completed by tomorrow. (New messages sent since 11:40am Tuesday should be delivered at a normal speed.)

For email messages sent during that window that DIDN'T bounce, mail delivery is delayed but should be completed this afternoon. (New messages sent since 11:40am should be delivered at a normal speed.)

Comment: We're receiving reports of problems with email delivery. For example, people are getting bounce notifications from accounts they know are valid. Staff are working on the issue.

Comment: Mail delivery to email addresses at Microsoft domains such as outlook.com, hotmail.com, and live.com has been restored.

Comment: Currently, messages sent from uoregon.edu email addresses to email addresses at Microsoft domains -- such as outlook.com, hotmail.com, and live.com -- are being rejected by Microsoft and returned to the sender. Information Services and Microsoft staff have been working to restore email delivery, and that is expected some time between 2:30pm on Thursday, July 11, and 2:30pm on Friday, July 12.

Comment: Currently, many messages sent from uoregon.edu email addresses to email addresses at Microsoft domains -- such as hotmail.com, outlook.com, and live.com -- are being rejected by Microsoft and returned to the sender. UO staff have contacted Microsoft to pursue restoration of email delivery.
