Comment: On Tuesday, May 11, a partial service degradation prevented some UOmail users from viewing email message content in the Outlook application installed on their computers. As of Tuesday evening, Microsoft reports that this has been resolved. If you're still having this problem, try restarting Outlook once or twice.

Comment: Some UOmail users are currently unable to view the body of email messages in the Outlook application installed on their computers. Microsoft has identified the underlying cause of this problem and is in the process of applying a fix, which they expect to reach all affected users by 8pm Pacific Time today (Tuesday, May 11). You may need to restart Outlook once or twice for the changes to take effect. In the meantime, workarounds include viewing your email at uomail.uoregon.edu, in the Outlook mobile app, or in a different email program.

Comment: On Wednesday, April 7, Duo two-step login will become mandatory for students whose 95 numbers end in "1" and for all law students. If you don't register a device for Duo before your assigned deadline, you'll be prompted to do so the first time you try to access any protected UO service — such as Canvas, Zoom, UOmail, or Microsoft applications — on your deadline. Comment: Login failures at Microsoft preventing users from logging in to Microsoft services, including UOmail, starting at 12:15pm today (3/15). Microsoft implemented a fix at 2:12pm PT, and they note that login problems should be resolved by now. Information Services staff continue to monitor this incident.

Comment: Some users who forward email to Gmail had messages sent from outside the university bounce back to the sender. The issue began between Thursday night and Friday morning. Staff implemented a fix at 6:10pm (Dec. 4) to restore mail forwarding, and testing at 6:33pm (Dec. 4) showed that email forwarding is working again.

Comment: Users attempting to access UOmail may receive an error message. Microsoft confirms they have been experiencing service problems since 2:43pm on 9/28. They are actively working to restore service. Some users are not receiving email currently. Those messages will be delivered when service stabilizes. There is no work-around, unfortunately.

For email messages sent during that window that DIDN'T bounce, mail delivery is significantly delayed but should be completed by tomorrow. (New messages sent since 11:40am Tuesday should be delivered at a normal speed.)
