Comment: If you received a "user unknown" bounce notification from a UO email address this morning (Tuesday, Sept. 3, between ~8am and 11:40am), please resend that message now. For email messages sent during that window that DIDN'T bounce, mail delivery is significantly delayed but should be completed by tomorrow. (New messages sent since 11:40am Tuesday should be delivered at a normal speed.)

Comment: Currently, messages sent from uoregon.edu email addresses to email addresses at Microsoft domains -- such as outlook.com, hotmail.com, and live.com -- are being rejected by Microsoft and returned to the sender. Information Services and Microsoft staff have been working to restore email delivery, and that is expected some time between 2:30pm on Thursday, July 11, and 2:30pm on Friday, July 12.

Comment: In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 19, from midnight until 7am, outgoing email (SMTP) may be affected multiple times during work on the campus network as part of a large-scale network redesign and upgrade project. Email messages sent within campus will not be affected. Only email messages sent to and from campus may be delayed. In the best case, no interruptions will occur. In the worst case, the university will experience three interruptions of up to one hour each during this work period.
