Comment: Phone calls to UO Portland are failing for anyone calling from outside the university's phone system. Callers receive a busy signal instead of an attempt to connect the call. The workaround, when possible is to call from a UO phone. This issue began overnight.

Comment: Voicemail was unavailable for most users between 8:50am and 9:10am today (1/25). During that time, users who checked their voicemail received a message stating the voicemail system is going through maintenance. If voicemail was left during the outage, the backup server queued those voicemails up. At this time, it is believed that no voicemails were lost.

Comment: Due to a broken connection between the Comcast and CenturyLink phone systems in the Eugene/Springfield area, people with CenturyLink phone service who call Comcast phone service customers are currently unable to reach them. Instead, they get a fast busy signal. This applies to outgoing calls from UO's Eugene campus to people and businesses in the Eugene/Springfield area with Comcast phone service. We do not have an ETA from Comcast for when this may be resolved.

Comment: Some campus phones are experiencing a service degradation. Specifically, when you pick up the handset, there's a loud screeching noise. However, the phones are still able to make and receive calls. Once you dial a number, the noise goes away. This affects some analog phones, including in the EMU, Earl Hall, Esslinger Hall, the Rec Center, and a few other locations.
