On Sunday, Sept. 17, starting at 8:00 a.m., UO staff plan to perform maintenance on a component of the university's email system. That work could delay mail flow for up to 12 hours, until 8:00 p.m. Specifically, it could delay emails between UOmail accounts and non-UOmail accounts inside and outside the university. (Emails between UOmail accounts — that is, between any UO faculty, staff, and student accounts — should be unaffected.)

On Sunday, July 16, UO staff tentatively plan to perform maintenance on a component of the university's email system (timing TBD). UO staff don't expect the work to cause any noticeable impacts. However, it could delay email delivery between UOmail accounts and non-UOmail accounts inside and outside the university.

The partial UOmail outage has been resolved. Microsoft reports that the partial outage of its Exchange Online service, affecting a subset of customers globally, lasted from about 12:30am to 1pm Pacific time (about 12.5 hours).

Some members of the UO community are unable to access UOmail due to a larger problem with Microsoft's Exchange Online service. Around noon Pacific Time, Microsoft reported that it had begun rolling out a fix. Individual users may start to see resolution.
