Service Status History

On Wednesday, July 19, starting at 6pm, UO staff will perform maintenance on a critical back-end service called Active Directory. If any service interruptions occur, they're expected to be minor. However, this work has the potential to cause broad disruptions to UO services, from computer logins to email flow and UO VPN. If that occurs, we will post updates here. Those disruptions could last up to 14 hours, until 8 a.m. on Thursday, July 20.

Website maintenance: Several UO websites and a common directory module ("casprofile") may be impacted by maintenance on Wednesday, June 28, from 10am-noon. Website visitors may experience slowdowns and intermittent interruptions, but UO staff aren't expecting a sustained outage. The following may be affected:

• Faculty/staff directories and profile pages on many UO websites.
• Websites for several UO departments and labs, including the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology, Materials Science Institute, Infographics Lab, and others.
• Websites for several unit-specific functions, such as laser cutter scheduling in the Lawrence Hall Woodshop.

Mailman: The unplanned outage affecting UO email lists at lists.uoregon.edu has been resolved. As of about noon Pacific Time (Wednesday, June 22), messages from newly created lists are now sending successfully, as well as any messages from existing lists that might have been held up earlier.

Mailman: As of about 10am Pacific Time, existing UO email lists at lists.uoregon.edu are working again after an unplanned outage this morning (Wednesday, June 22) following planned maintenance in the 5am-7am window. People are receiving messages sent to email lists during the outage. UO staff are continuing to investigate whether people are able to create and use new email lists.

Mailman: UO email lists at lists.uoregon.edu are currently unavailable due to a problem resulting from this morning's planned maintenance (Wednesday, June 22). UO staff are working on the issue.

• Shibboleth single sign-on: Shibboleth SSO — the common UO login used to access services such as Canvas, Zoom, and MyTrack — will undergo maintenance on Wednesday, June 21, from 5am-6:30am. Most logins during that window should succeed, and the work also won't impact any sessions started before 5am. However, you may occasionally get a "page not found" (404) error when trying to log in. If that happens, try again in a few minutes.
• Mailman: The Mailman email list service will be unavailable Wednesday, June 22, from 5am-7am while UO staff perform maintenance. UO email lists at lists.uoregon.edu will be unavailable during that time. Emails sent to those lists are expected to bounce.

SmartSheet was partially unavailable this morning (June 12) between 8:12am and 8:55am due to an problem on the vendor's end.
