Service Status History

On Monday, July 1, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., UO staff will be upgrading core network equipment that serves all UO campuses. Staff expect one or more brief network outages lasting about 15 minutes each, and possible network instability throughout the maintenance window. Impacts will be widespread, affecting Wi-Fi, wired networking in some buildings, UO VPN and some specialized network-dependent services.

Duck ID Account Management Degradation: Previously reported errors of "Sorry, you have not registered for two-step login or provided alternate contact information," and "Failed to launch external program []." have been resolved.

These impacts remain:

• New employees and students entered into Banner between 6/18 - 6/20 will be able to claim their Duck IDs beginning 6/21.
• New faculty for fall (appointment start date 9/16/24) who already claimed their Duck IDs will have UOmail and other service access beginning 6/21.

Duck ID Account Management Outage:

New logins to Duck ID Account Management fail with an error, "Failed to launch external program []." Staff are engaged.

Smartsheet: People are are reporting problems connecting to Smartsheet. Please refer to Smartsheet's status website for updates.

Unplanned UOmail outage, update 2:45pm: Delivery of new messages in UOmail was unavailable between approximately 12:40pm - 2:45pm. All messages have been delivered. Staff remain engaged to investigate reports that some messages sent during the outage period may have returned a bounce message.
