U.Achieve

Overview:
The University of Oregon utilizes the CollegeSource U.Achieve Degree Audit System for handling requirements and processing of degree audits.

Criteria for updating the service status:
The ability for a user to successfully login and perform actions with the U.Achieve Degree Audit client or batch process run via Appworx.

VPN (Virtual Private Networking)

Overview

VPN (virtual private networking) is software that allows your computer, tablet, or smartphone to connect to UOnet, the university's network, from anywhere in the world and give the appearance that you are on campus. VPN is best used to access online resources that are available only to on-campus customers. 

Criteria for updating the service status

Ability to connect reliably using VPN and access campus services.

E-mail: outgoing (SMTP)

Overview

The outgoing e-mail service (SMTP) includes both the Unix mail system (sometimes referred to as "webmail"; used primarily by students) and Exchange (used by faculty and staff).

Criteria for updating the service status

The ability for a user to send e-mail messages.

Qualtrics

Overview

Qualtrics is a hosted, web-based survey tool available to all UO students, faculty, and staff.

Criteria for updating the service status

The status of this service will change if the Qualtrics website cannot be reached, or if the service degrades to a noticeable degree.

Blogs

Overview

UO Blogs is a WordPress-based web hosting and blogging service available to all UO students, faculty, and staff. Campus Press is our commercial partner in offering this service.

Criteria for updating the service status

The ability for a user to view sites successfully or for users to login and perform actions within Blogs.

Wireless network

Overview

Wireless refers to the UO 802.11 wireless network provided on all campuses through four main SSIDs:

  • UO Secure
  • uowireless
  • UO Guest
  • eduroam

Criteria for updating the service status

Ability for all users to connect to and access both internal UO and external Internet resources through all of the four main wireless SSIDs.

Resource 25

(Also known as R25)

Overview

The Resource 25 service consists of an Oracle database that users connect to when running the Windows Resource 25 application or the 25Live web application.
 
Criteria for updating the service status
The ability for a user to successfully login and perform actions within the Resource 25 application or the 25Live web application.

E-mail: IMAP/POP

Overview

  • The service consists of incoming e-mail (IMAP/POP);

  • This service is used primarily by students.

Criteria for updating the service status

If any of the services described in the Overview (above) are down or experiencing significant issues, status will be updated. Due to the fact that a particular dependent service may be experiencing problems while the others may be functioning correctly, the comment section of the status page should provide an adequate description of the situation.

E-mail: Exchange

Overview:

  • This service consists of e-mail and calendaring using Microsoft Exchange
  • Used primarily by faculty and staff

Criteria for updating the service status:The ability for a user to log in and interact effectively with mail, calendars, and contacts.
