Comment: In the early morning hours of Friday, August 25, from midnight until 7am, IMAP/POP email may be affected multiple times during work on the campus network as part of a large-scale network redesign and upgrade project. Email messages sent within campus will not be affected. Only email messages sent to and from campus may be delayed. In the best case, no interruptions will occur. In the worst case, the university will experience three interruptions of up to one hour each during this work period.

Comment: Some messages sent to UO email addresses (those ending in @uoregon.edu) are getting returned to sender. Only messages sent from non-UO email addresses are affected. This issue is expected to last until late Friday or Saturday. The workaround is to ask the sender to use a non-UO email address. We understand this is far from ideal for several reasons. Intended recipients here on campus don't know which messages got returned, and business-related emails cannot always be redirected to non-UO addresses.
