Elements (Symplectic)

Overview

• Elements (also called Symplectic Elements) is a research management system and SaaS-based application by Digital Science.
• UO uses it as a faculty information and personnel management system, aggregating information on faculty research, teaching, and awards for use in performance and tenure reviews.
• The service is located at uo.elements.symplectic.org.

Criteria for updating the service status

The ability for a user to successfully log in and perform such actions as:

• Viewing the Elements homepage and any outstanding action items.
• Viewing their Elements profile and reviewing outstanding publications or other scholarly works that have been matched to them.
• Accessing the "Evaluation & Review" module to complete view documents and complete tasks related to staff and faculty reviews.
